I ran into this problem with linux 5.11.4-arch1-1.

Seems to be known to the Arch maintainers:

Because the issue doesn't happen to everyone

@msschulte this issue was supposed to be solved in the kernel in 5.11.4-arch1-1 [1][2].

I confirm Pascal Ernster that this issue is not fixed in kernel 5.11.4.

Can you reproduce the issue on 5.11.2? If not please test 5.11.3, if that introduces the issue please revert

This issue is about cryptsetup, not linux.
And cryptsetup 2.3.4-3 should fix it for all versions of linux...
