DetailsJust installed fglrx and fglrx-beyond 8.36.5-1. The former works fine, the latter is broken with kernel26beyond 2.6.19.beyond2 from Extra.
# modprobe fglrx FATAL: Error inserting fglrx (/lib/modules/2.6.19-beyond/video/fglrx.ko): Unknown symbol in module, or unknown parameter (see dmesg) # dmesg |grep fglrx fglrx: module license 'Proprietary. (C) 2002 - ATI Technologies, Starnberg, GERMANY' taints kernel. fglrx: Unknown symbol try_to_freeze fglrx: Unknown symbol try_to_freeze I followed this up to http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=172852 where people mention it is due to the suspend2 patch.
