Turns out that the standard precompiled Arch 2.6.20.7-2 Kernel has support for pretty much all cards compiled in except for only very few among which the AVM Fritz! PnP/PCI (hisax type=27) can be found.
But this card is one of the most used ones, so I figure it might be a good idea if this card was supported by default.

the avm module is available by fcpci, the one in kernel isn't supporting everything
