Description:
I helped maintain the skaffold-bin package on the AUR. Whenever a new version of Skaffold was released, there was usually a new package same day or within a couple days of the release. When I saw that an official package was released, I sent an email to other contributors asking about deleting the AUR package and didn't get any objections. I then requested deletion and the AUR package has since been deleted. Unfortunately, I find that this package isn't getting updated as frequently now, falling multiple weeks behind new releases. I would like to take the steps to become a trusted user to help. I'd like to try to get a couple sponsors here, as you may have worked previously with me on the package. I maintain multiple AUR packages that are kept current and work to provide clean releases that follow language-specific package guidelines. I believe I could add some value by contributing other community packages in the near-future as well. Additional info: * package version: 1.19.0-1 * link to upstream: https://github.com/GoogleContainerTools/skaffold |

Reason for closing: Not a bug
Additional comments about closing: At the top of every page of the bug tracker:
Do NOT report bugs when a package is just outdated, or it is in the AUR. Use the 'flag out of date' link on the package page, or the Mailing List.
REPEAT: Do NOT report bugs for outdated packages!

Probably not the right place to ask for sponsors...

Fair. It wasn't my goal initially as I just wanted to see more
frequent updates, but I began to think things out loud about how I
could be helping instead of just complaining. I sent out a
separate email for sponsorship so hopefully my good intentions
will come through.
