Description:
Expected behaviour To logout Observed behaviour: On logout procedure, after some "thinking" KDE spews a lot of crash warnings (more of less, all KDE related tasks),as if plasma had crashed, and restarts the session. Only way found to logout is via loginctl commands or reboot Under X11 it works as expected. Under KDE 5.20 Wayland most of the tasks crashed silently, but did logout. Behavior between plasma 5.21 (original) and 5.21.1-1 is slightly different (faster recovery, crash notifications appearing). Biggest difference is (apparently) kwin-wayland not crashing Bugs known: Haven't found any so far at KDE bugs. As the defect is in a very common procedure, i suspect something in my setup, so the reason to report it prior on the Arch bugtracker. A forum post about is already at https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=263885 Someone reported similar problems at Phoronix, but w/o any context https://www.phoronix.com/forums/forum/s … ease/page2 Additional info: Environment: Linux werner-arch 5.11.1-arch1-1 #1 SMP PREEMPT Tue, 23 Feb 2021 14:05:30 +0000 x86_64 GNU/Linux Wayland related libraries kwayland 5.79.0-1 kwayland-integration 5.21.1-1 kwayland-server 5.21.1-1 lib32-wayland 1.19.0-1 plasma-wayland-protocols 1.1.1-1 plasma-wayland-session 5.21.1-1 qt5-wayland 5.15.2-1 wayland 1.19.0-1 wayland-protocols 1.20-1 xorg-xwayland 1.20.0.r853.gfdc61c5a3-1 Intel DualCore 8200, 3GB RAM, integrated Intel Graphic card G33 (a bit short of antedeluvian, max OpenGL supported 1.4) Steps to reproduce: Kickoff -> Close Session.
