DetailsDescription:
Some applications (notable blobsaver and other apps that may use the JNI or manually call dlopen) attempt to manually open /usr/lib/libimobiledevice.so. In the libimobiledevice package, however, there is only a symlink up to libimobiledevice-1.0.so. There should be a symlink named libimobiledevice.so that points to libimobiledevice-1.0.so, so programs can directly open it. Additional info: * package version(s) * config and/or log files etc. * link to upstream bug report, if any Steps to reproduce: dlopen("/usr/lib/libimobiledevice.so") will fail. |

I don't know if ABI has been broken in 1.3.x, but if it is, it will cause unresolved symbols or crashes when applications start loading a symlinked library and expect 1.2.x ABI.
