Description:

After upgrading 5.10.16.arch1-1 to linux-5.11.1.arch1-1, boot halts at "Loading initial ramdisk..." on Dell Inspiron 3595.

Revert to previous kernel and problem goes away.

I can't find anything in logs (not that I would expect any at this part of the boot). Not sure what else I need to provide, sorry.

linux-5.11.2.arch1-1 has the same problem.

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately it does not work, with the same effect as logged.

Simon, try to disable wifi in bios and boot.
My atheros card kills Linux 5.11 on my XPS 13 9380, 100% reproducible

There doesn't seem to be a way to disable it in bios.

@Simon, try kernel 5.11.10, @aferrero closed  FS#69757  and this kernel works for my Intel XPS too!
