Details

Description:
Mame,even old versions, is stuck at initializing.
If I try to create a config it returns an empty file.

* config and/or log files etc.

Steps to reproduce:
Launch mame from a console (Konsole)
Mame freezes and there is no way to make it work
Launch mame -cc
It returns no output

Found the reason. In
/usr/bin/mame script it is necessary to add
cd /usr/lib/mame
before launching the program.
I don't know why

I'm having the same issue. The workaround the original reported mentioned in a comment made it work for me. To answer the question the reporter did not respond to, I am using zsh.
