DetailsDescription:
As per https://github.com/jneilliii/OctoPrint-UltimakerFormatPackage/issues/33#issuecomment-781374975, the `cura` package in the community repository is missing a dependency, likely libcharon. This is needed to send UFP files with preview images to 3D printers, specifically Octoprint print servers. Without this dependency, raw gcode files are sent to the printer instead. The `cura-appimage-bin` package seems to have this bundled in and works fine with UFP. Additional info: * package version(s): 4.8.0-1 * config and/or log files etc. * link to upstream bug report, if any Steps to reproduce: * Open Cura and load any STL file * Slice the model * Click "save to file" * In broken Cura package, there is no option for UFP file type, even when UFP Writer plugin is enabled (as it should be by default with a stock install). With the Cura appimage, UFP is an option in the file type list. * Similarly, if Cura is configured to connect to an Octoprint instance that has the UltimakerFormatPackage plugin installed, sending the sliced file to Octoprint will send gcode with the broken Cura package but will send UFP file in the working Cura package. |
