I’ve rebuilt my system upower without those dependencies (I don’t care about iOS devices), and plasma failed to launch (while trying in a terminal it was explicitly telling about the missing libimobiledevice.so).

It appeared that solid is actually having a direct dependency on both libraries, so it should be marked as such. Rebuilding solid without libplist and libimobiledevice worked for me, and it would have been more obvious is deps were correctly written. ;)

Additional comments about closing:  All KDE packages rely on transitive dependencies ATM. When that changes, it will do it for all of them, but changing the policy for a single package doesn't make much sense.
