Description:

glibc 2.33 3.1 breaks i686 and i486 architecture

Additional info:
* package version(s)
* config and/or log files etc.
* link to upstream bug report, if any

Steps to reproduce:

Install or compile it, wait to get accused for a "partial upgrade" then find bug and multiple experiences from others while wondering how it is you did something such as a "partial upgrade" when no command for this even exists. Yes it is your fault. /s

After this awesome upgrade your system is fucked unless you happen to have some massive foresight to install "pacman-static" because it doesn't come normally with the distro. Otherwise time wasted fixing something that shouldn't be a problem will require you to boot to a live cd and install the older package. Oh yeah let us also ignore that there is a bug fix already out and since 2-6-21 the package for archlinux hasn't been touched, yet people are being pushed it via the upgrade to only find the system fucked after doing it. Love how quickly incompetence just ruins things. Thanks team!

The bug fix: https://gitweb.gentoo.org/repo/gentoo.git/commit/sys-libs/glibc?id=5dbd6a821ff753e3b41324c4fb7c58cf65eeea33

Talk about fixing it: https://gitweb.gentoo.org/repo/gentoo.git/commit/sys-libs/glibc?id=5dbd6a821ff753e3b41324c4fb7c58cf65eeea33

You can find the reports yourself, or if your system isn't fucked you can't.

Reason for closing:  Won't fix
Additional comments about closing:  Judging by your manner of description and severe anger at Arch for not reading your mind and knowing your problem??? or something...

...it's not even worth continuing to read long enough to figure out what you're talking about.

Goodbye, troll. Come back again another day, but do so calmly and with a desire to actually communicate.
