Kernel 2.6.20.7.ck1-1 freezes my system when idle for a few minutes. I was copying some files over a network connection, and left the room. I came back around 20 minutes later, and the system was locked up. A while later, I was burning a DVD with K3B, and once again left. When I came back the system was almost completely unresponsive. This is the same behavior that the CK kernel was exhibiting with the 2.2.20 kernel before 2.6.20.4ck (which is stable). This was the only 64 bit upgrade outside of alsa that I did before this started happening. I have not tested the vanilla kernel.

please post relevant parts of of your everything.log file from system boot and your freeze. try to reproduce it. check latest stock kernel.

btw: k3b had a known DMA issue that could have caused your issues. that should be fixed with k3b 1.0.1 update we will soon have. check the lock for lost dma functionality to sort that out.

The freezing didn't occur again after this bug report was filed. Today this kernel is updated to the second version. Hopefully whatever crashed my system is gone now.
