DetailsDescription:
The IDE from the `arduino` package crashes with an NPE if the optional dependency `arduino-avr-core` is not installed. I think the dependency should not be optional, as it is needed to use (one of the) the main application(s) from the package. For the sake of completeness: there are Arduino boards that are not AVR-based and thus do not *technically* need that package; unfortunately, in practice the package still has to be installed to use those boards. This should probably be brought up with upstream, but in the meanwhile the Arch package should install the correct set of dependencies to make the software work. * package version: arduino 1:1.8.13-2 Steps to reproduce: install without optional dependencies; try to launch IDE. |
