Description:
The display during package download progress shows package progress over several lines. This could be caused by the extra '-' in a negative download rate causing the progress to drop to the next line. The system update was performed when tethered to a mobile phone exhibiting slow download speeds and the default ParallelDownloads of 5. See attached screenshot. Aside from editing ParallelDownloads in pacman.conf, I couldn't determine a command line option to do this temporarily. Steps to reproduce: Install pacman 6.0.0alpha1-1 Run pacman -Syu over a slow connection, total download rate around 300 KiB/s, the default ParallelDownloads of 5 and an update containing several large package download sizes. |
