It's much worse than that, the project does not seem to have a CLA or other copyright assignment, hence the current version is 100% illegal as it infringes on the GPL copyright of past contributors to the project.

There is no question here. Neither we nor the albert developer are legally allowed to distribute this illegally infringing software.
