Description:
Since pulseaudio/libpulse/pulseaudio-bluetooth 14.2-1, bluetooth connected A2DP/Audio devices do not show-up in the sound-menu or 'PulseAudio Volume Control' interface anymore. If i downgrade to 14.1-2, reboot they appear again and audio works. Additional info: Non working packages: [ALPM] upgraded libpulse (14.1-2 -> 14.2-1) [ALPM] upgraded pulseaudio (14.1-2 -> 14.2-1) [ALPM] upgraded pulseaudio-bluetooth (14.1-2 -> 14.2-1) Working packages: [ALPM] downgraded libpulse (14.2-1 -> 14.1-2) [ALPM] downgraded pulseaudio (14.2-1 -> 14.1-2) [ALPM] downgraded pulseaudio-bluetooth (14.2-1 -> 14.1-2) Steps to reproduce: Have the 14.2-1 packages installed. Try to connect an audio-device and play audio via that device. Check `pactl list`, a2dp audio device is not available there. Install 14.1-2 packages, do the same, and an a2dp device there is visible. ``` jan 17 11:00:16 mathijs-y540 systemd[1291]: pulseaudio.service: Succeeded. jan 17 11:00:26 mathijs-y540 systemd[1291]: pulseaudio.socket: Succeeded. jan 17 14:07:21 mathijs-y540 pulseaudio[3633]: Failed to open module module-bluez5-device.so: module-bluez5-device.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory jan 17 14:07:21 mathijs-y540 pulseaudio[3633]: Failed to open module "module-bluez5-device". jan 17 14:07:21 mathijs-y540 pulseaudio[3633]: Failed to load module for device /org/bluez/hci0/dev_C8_84_47_0B_F0_0F jan 17 14:07:57 mathijs-y540 dbus-daemon[1114]: [system] Rejected send message, 0 matched rules; type="method_return", sender=":1.58" (uid=1000 pid=3633 comm="/usr/bin/pulseaudio --daemonize=no --log-target=jo") interface="(unset)" member="(unset)" error name="(unset)" requested_reply="0" destination=":1.2" (uid=0 pid=1112 comm="/usr/lib/bluetooth/bluetoothd ") jan 17 14:08:04 mathijs-y540 pulseaudio[3633]: Failed to open module module-bluez5-device.so: module-bluez5-device.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory jan 17 14:08:04 mathijs-y540 pulseaudio[3633]: Failed to open module "module-bluez5-device". jan 17 14:08:04 mathijs-y540 pulseaudio[3633]: Failed to load module for device /org/bluez/hci0/dev_C8_84_47_0B_F0_0F jan 17 14:15:35 mathijs-y540 systemd[3534]: pulseaudio.service: Succeeded. jan 17 14:16:14 mathijs-y540 dbus-daemon[1114]: [system] Rejected send message, 0 matched rules; type="error", sender=":1.137" (uid=1000 pid=53589 comm="/usr/bin/pulseaudio --daemonize=no --log-target=jo") interface="(unset)" member="(unset)" error name="org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.UnknownMethod" requested_reply="0" destination=":1.2" (uid=0 pid=1112 comm="/usr/lib/bluetooth/bluetoothd ") jan 17 14:16:14 mathijs-y540 dbus-daemon[1114]: [system] Rejected send message, 0 matched rules; type="error", sender=":1.137" (uid=1000 pid=53589 comm="/usr/bin/pulseaudio --daemonize=no --log-target=jo") interface="(unset)" member="(unset)" error name="org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.UnknownMethod" requested_reply="0" destination=":1.2" (uid=0 pid=1112 comm="/usr/lib/bluetooth/bluetoothd ") ``` |

Additional comments about closing: comment: After a second install of the package and a second reboot it does seem to work again. Not sure why the first reboot/shutdown attempt didn't worked.

Can someone change this please to: "[pulseaudio-bluetooth] 14.2-1 breaks listing a2dp as audio device."
Thanks.
Last night i installed the updated version again to try it this morning.
Strangely enough, it does work now and i do not think anything else was installed or upgraded except those packages.
Ill just through it on a few flipped bits then :).
