linux-lts 5.4.89-1 breaks sound for Realtek ALC287 devices
or Lenovo Yoga Duet 7i.
I'm new to arch so I'm not sure what logs to post. However, I'm using Arch because until now it was the only distro I've found to work. Downgrading the kernel to 5.4.88-1 has sound working again. But why? What's different? |

1. https://github.com/archlinux/svntogit-packages/commit/feeff9312a5e8f464fac0b9d7a1169b24c9409b0#diff-3e341d2d9c67be01819b25b25d5e53ea3cdf3a38d28846cda85a195eb9b7203a
If those are not the cause try bisecting between 5.4.88 and 5.4.89.

Is this it? https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=208555
This is the list of patches that went into 5.4.89
Perhaps you can can revert the alsa ones individually and check which revert fixes the bug?
If the issue is still present with this build you will need to bisect between the two releases.
