Reason for closing: Won't fix
Additional comments about closing: The cluster functionality is not a core part of dvdrip and it never worked in ArchLinux. perl-event-rpc is not in Archlinux repos and it would be necessary to get the cluster working. Recompiling helps only if the libraries are installed on the box. For some reason they are on yours, but they do not come out of Archlinux repositories such as current or extra.
