Description:
Trying to run "pss" or "psk", which are installed as /usr/bin/pss and /usr/bin/psk by this package leads to a SyntaxError, because the scripts are not compatible with Python 3. $ pss File "/usr/bin/pss", line 21 print "%s not implemented yet" % o ^ SyntaxError: Missing parentheses in call to 'print'. Did you mean print("%s not implemented yet" % o)? For example they use "print" as a statement: https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/libs/python/python-inet_diag/python-inet_diag.git/tree/psk.py#n113 Additionally, the shared libray of the extension is not Python 3 compatible too: $ python Python 3.9.1 (default, Dec 13 2020, 11:55:53) [GCC 10.2.0] on linux Type "help", "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information. >>> import inet_diag Traceback (most recent call last): File "<stdin>", line 1, in <module> ImportError: /usr/lib/python3.9/site-packages/inet_diag.cpython-39-x86_64-linux-gnu.so: undefined symbol: PyString_FromString Trying to build the package also shows the root of this error as a warning: creating build/temp.linux-x86_64-3.9 creating build/temp.linux-x86_64-3.9/python-inet_diag gcc -pthread -Wno-unused-result -Wsign-compare -DNDEBUG -g -fwrapv -O3 -Wall -march=x86-64 -mtune=generic -O3 -pipe -fno-plt -fno-semantic-interposition -march=x86-64 -mtune=generic -O3 -pipe -fno-plt -march=x86-64 -mtune=generic -O3 -pipe -fno-plt -march=native -O2 -pipe -fstack-protector-strong -fno-plt -D_FORTIFY_SOURCE=2 -fPIC -I/usr/include/python3.9 -c python-inet_diag/inet_diag.c -o build/temp.linux-x86_64-3.9/python-inet_diag/inet_diag.o python-inet_diag/inet_diag.c: In Funktion »inet_socket__daddr«: python-inet_diag/inet_diag.c:319:9: Warnung: Implizite Deklaration der Funktion »PyString_FromString«; meinten Sie »PyLong_FromString«?
