Description:

Evince (3.38.0) prints the following message on the console when opening *any* PDF file, unless it finds a corresponding .tex file (which is not the case for most PDFs).

! SyncTeX Error : No file?

According to [1] this is a bug in libsyntex, with a one-line fix [2].

[1] https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/evince/-/issues/983
[2] https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/evince/commit/678410e81d0c889f4db4e995ca451ed62b8a2eee

Would it be possible to apply that fix to the Arch package?

Additional info:
* package version 2020.54586-7

I no longer experience this issue with evince 40.2-1 and libsynctex 2021.58686-3.
