Details

Description:
When laptop starts or reboots with the battery, only get a black screen with the mouse cursor. Plasmashell fails to start even with manually start.
When laptop is connected to the A/C power can boot normally again.

Additional info:
* 5.9.14 arch1-1
* plasmashell 5.20.4
Qt: 5.15.2
KDE Frameworks: 5.77.0
kf5-config: 1.0
*Nvidia-340xx-dkms GPU driver


Steps to reproduce:
Unplug the A/C power and boot/restart the machine, with only battery power.

Workaround:
Downgrade to the previous kernel (5.9.13) fixes the problem.

As it seems the problem doesn't related to the kernel and it has to do with the cpu scaling (with the auto-cpufreq). It was difficult to understand that the problem caused by this because the problem still existed after uninstalling the auto-cpufreq, until I plugged in the A/C power.
