Details

Description: The multimedia(Fn) keys and LED indicators on Lenovo ThinkPad laptops do not work on boot. Upon suspending once and resuming, all buttons function normally.

Additional info:
Laptop = ThinkPad E14 Gen 2 (AMD Ryzen 4700U)
UEFI = Lenovo ThinkPad UEFI v1.8
Kernel = 5.9.11-arch2-1

Steps to reproduce: On a ThinkPad device, shut down completely and upon booting, try switching on Caps Lock. Try using multimedia functions provided by the Function keys.

This is issue is present even on the latest kernel version.

Ok, thanks for confirming. But it sounds like either an upstream issue, a firmware issue or maybe even a config issue [1]. There is nothing Arch can do here. Please report it upstream and feel free to let us know what you find out.
