Description:
I'm filing this report because of a message from systemd: ``` /usr/lib/systemd/system/gnunet.service:5: Special user nobody configured, this is not safe! ``` I'm assuming the not safe part comes from the practice to use the nobody user to run every service that needs no permission on disk. And thus exposing all services running with the same user if any of the services is exploited. I think it's best practice to run any distinct service using a distinct user. The user `nobody` specifically seems to be used by NFS and shouldn't be used for any other purpose. - https://wiki.ubuntu.com/nobody To provide gnunet as a system service: https://docs.gnunet.org/handbook/gnunet.html#The-Multi_002dUser-Setup |
