It's quite unclear what you mean by a folder icon as the folder in your screenshot does seem to be behaving completely normally.

Please clarify what you are talking about.

ok,
before my system update, i was on arc-gtk-theme with cinnamon.
The folder icon of nemo application in menu and in taskbar was the arc icon theme (figure C on picture)
Since the update (pacman -Syu), it has been change by the figure (b)

So, for me, the figure (b) is really ugly, I do not understand why my nemo icon was changed, and if it's because arc icon theme do not provide application icons, so i do not understand why it is not the icon (a) who is used, because this icon should be the default adwaita icon theme...

Changed upstream by https://github.com/linuxmint/nemo/pull/2514

Either your icon theme should override "system-file-manager", or you should discuss with upstream to revert back to "nemo".

I think that this change in nemo is a good thing, and it should be not reverted back.

Maybe should we report this bug to NicoHood https://www.archlinux.org/packages/?maintainer=NicoHood

The maintainer of arc-icon-theme https://www.archlinux.org/packages/community/any/arc-gtk-theme/ .

Is it possible or have i to send a private messageto him ?

The upstream issue tracker for the arc-icon-theme package is https://github.com/jnsh/arc-theme

Please dont flag a package out of date, if it is not. The arc Icon theme currently has not rceived any updates recently (and possibly wont in the near future).

If you have any patch to fix the issue, I am happy to integrate it. Maybe it is also worth to contact jnsh, maybe he will also takeover the icon theme.

@NicoHood: The easy solution is to symlink all folder.{png, svg} icons as system-file-manager.
