Description:
Kernel 5.10-rc5 fails to boot Kernel 5.10-rc4 successfully booted The message after trying to boot is: > Failed to start Load Kernel Modules. Emergency root console cannot be opened, follow-up error is: > Cannot open access to console as the root account is locked Journalctl -xb-1 has to say this fatal errors: Nov 28 09:20:46 ebola mount[332]: mount: /boot/efi: unknown filesystem type 'vfat'. Nov 28 09:20:46 ebola systemd[1]: boot-efi.mount: Mount process exited, code=exited, status=32/n/a Nov 28 09:20:46 ebola systemd[1]: boot-efi.mount: Failed with result 'exit-code'. Nov 28 09:20:46 ebola systemd[1]: Failed to mount /boot/efi. and Nov 28 09:21:02 ebola systemd-modules-load[476]: Failed to look up module alias 'crypto_user': Function not implemented Nov 28 09:21:02 ebola systemd-modules-load[476]: Failed to look up module alias 'uinput': Function not implemented I don't know which one of the two fatal error messages causes the system not to boot up properly |
