Description:
Since version 78, Firefox includes a d-bus service for gnome shell search provider.
Please consider:
* Including firefox-search-provider.ini with firefox.
* Set user pref (false by default? so gnome users can opt-in easily).

Steps to enable:
* Copy firefox-search-provider.ini [1] to /usr/share/gnome-shell/search-providers/ .
* Set pref browser.gnome-search-provider.enabled to true in about:config.
* Restart firefox, gnome-shell.

Just as a comment, reading the bug tracker,
the pref seems to be

widget.gnome-search-provider.enabled

and not the one you mentioned.

Issue has been fixed upstream years ago. Can we close the issue here?

I don't think this can be closed. Arch still doesn't package the search provider from upstream.

I haven't widget.gnome-search-provider.enabled and browser.gnome-search-provider.enabled, any of them. Some tips how can it be enabled please?

You can just create the pref in about:config.

I added a short paragraph to the Wiki page to document this, see https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Firefox#Gnome_search_provider
