I'm not sure what this means. is an alternate subdomain for, which is a cgit hosting platform. Both cgit ( and gitlab ( are functional, but may have different projects, any project is in charge of declaring its own canonical host.

No different from projects declaring whether they are on, github, bitbucket, a custom domain, etc.

The cgit index lists every project available in cgit, and makes no promises other than "this git repository is cloneable from"

What does it mean "archiso.git still links to", is this a readme bug for archiso? A cgit index bug? Cgit is not part of archweb, anyway.

This issue is not about cgit or where projects choose to host their code.
It is however about an issue with the archlinux homepage. lead me to believe that a bug report using 'general gripes' as task type, Web Sites as category and putting [archweb] in the title was the correct method to report this issue.
If that was incorrect, please redirect this report and post something in an appropriate location how to report such an issue.

Since mr Schwartz completely misunderstood my report, I'll try to explain the issue in detail .

Look at archlinux official homepage ,

Below 'package search' is a long list of links .
Look for the 2nd link under the bold 'Development' .
It's called 'Projects in Git' and links to
The mouse-over text for 'Projects in Git" is 'Official Arch projects (git) ' appears to redirect to .

navigating manually to redirects to
Many offical archlinux projects appear to have switched from to .

Summary :
Currently archlinux homepage link 'Projects in Git' doesn't link to uptodate repositories.
In my opinion that's a problem in archweb that makes archlinux look bad. I created this general gripe to alert archweb maintainers to this situation.
