DetailsI tried to install using the most recent archiso burnt on a USB.
The Zen installer said that all was installed correctly. However, all the packages resided in /var/cache/pacman/pkg, and nothing was in /bin. This led to further problems (when I manually chroot-ed, it refused, because there was no /bin/{bash,zsh, etc}). I found the reason and reported a bug here, https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/68604. But I think that in case of errors the installer must report that there were errors, not say that the installation was successful. I also could not boot later (because I erroneously installed UEFI in Legacy mode), but I'm not sure the installer would be able to notice that. Sorry, I don't know whether it should belong to "Zen installer" bugs. Please move it there if needed. * package version(s) 2020.11.01 |

So, I found out that I mistakenly used an old Zen installer (in another branch they already explained that this is a side-project, not supported here) instead of a recent archiso. Sorry for disturbing, closing this.
