DetailsThe gnome-panel package contains a bug in the postinstall script. When a new created user logs in, no default panels are present. The panel-default-setup.entries file in the schemas directory is not a schemafile and needs to be loaded with a different gconftool-2 commandline.
Another problem I discovered when rebuilding with the fixed .install script: a missing build dependency at indent. at http://schoolbak.dyndns.org/arch-bugs/gnome-panel/ you will find a new PKGBUILD (with updated MD5sums ;)), a new .install script and the built pkg file on a clean system. |
