The 2.5.0-2 changes to running openvpn as a non-root user.

It helpfully says

"Scripts that require elevated privileges may need a workaround."

during the upgrade.

One such script is update-systemd-resolved ( which is the recommended way to apply openvpn DNS configuration to systemd-resolved.

What is the workaround for running such scripts?
