If you'd like, you can use https://aur.archlinux.org/cgit/aur.git/tree/PKGBUILD?h=hdf5-java as a template.

hdf5-openmpi-java on AUR (https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/hdf5-openmpi-java) is using the PKGBUILD from this package, I've just enabled java.
