@xantares they were deliberately enabled and packaged in [1]. Is that no longer required?

See https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/58150 for the reasons. There might be a better way, but I don’t have time to look at this currently.

Rebuilt hdf5 with the attached diff, then netcdf and med, then freecad builds without requiring the static libs.
I had to disable check for netcdf due to tests timing out due to system's SSD coming to the end of its life.

@loqs I don’t think this is the correct diff. ;p

Actually the static libs are not needed anymore since we don’t package .cmake files that are broken anyway. So I’m disabling them in 1.12.1.
