Details

Description:

1. Log into X11 Gnome Shell.
2. Start Steam.
3. Start CS Go.
4. Crash after 15 seconds.
5. Gnome shell error window displayed and jump to gdm login session.

Absolutely no issues running the same game in Xfce. (performance +30 % in Xfce)

Yes indeed, same happens to me. Latest shell, latest nVidia drivers. if I switch to xfce4 there's no problems.

May be fixed in https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-shell/-/commit/98234acd5b48a58c2d112b5edb3dddb85e04a643

There shouldn't be a problem backporting this, because it's just 3 lines of js
