Without edk2-ovmf, gnome-boxes doesn't have UEFI support and is for example unable to boot the gnome-os image: `Boot failed: Could not read from CD-ROM (code 0009)` Steps to reproduce: - Do not have edk2-ovmf installed - Install gnome-boxes - Create a new virtual machine using "operating system download" menu and choose "GNOME OS Nightly" - Wait for it to download the image and notice how it's unable to boot it |
