When I posted this, it was the current version from the repos. Maybe a just got an out of sync mirror?

is it working for you with the current version? (2.0.2-3)
Comment by Skottish (skottish) - Friday, 13 April 2007, 12:58 GMT
I removed the home grown version completely off of my system (pacman -R and rm /var/cache...). I reinstalled 2.0.2-3 through pacman, and now I'm getting this error when running mmg:

[skottish@localhost ~]$ mmg
mmg: error while loading shared libraries: libwx_gtk2u_xrc-2.6.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

So it doesn't like wxgtk 2.6. Before, it would fail with the libFLAC.0.7 error. A quick rebuilt from ABS produces a useful copy.

mkvtoolnix 2.0.2-3 depends on wxgtk>=2.8.0.1 ... make sure you are up-to-date and use official pkgs if you post such bugs

closing: works for me

I confirm the bug (need rebuild) in a fresh install of arch64 up to date with the following repository : current extra community and unstable
flac version : 1.1.4-1
mkvtoolnix version : 2.0.2-3
mkvmerge: error while loading shared libraries: libFLAC.so.7: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

the result of pacman -Ql flac :
pacman -Ql flac | grep libFLAC
flac /usr/lib/libFLAC++.a
flac /usr/lib/libFLAC++.so
flac /usr/lib/libFLAC++.so.6
flac /usr/lib/libFLAC++.so.6.0.1
flac /usr/lib/libFLAC.a
flac /usr/lib/libFLAC.so
flac /usr/lib/libFLAC.so.8
flac /usr/lib/libFLAC.so.8.0.1
flac /usr/share/aclocal/libFLAC++.m4
flac /usr/share/aclocal/libFLAC.m4

no libFLAC.so.7
