DetailsWhen Beryl 0.2.1-1 + Heliodor 0.2.1-1 run under Gnome 2.18, as soon as Beryl starts, all key combinations with the "Alt" key are ignored.
This happens in both architectures (i686, x86_64) under Gnome 2.18. For example Alt+Tab for task switching is inoperative, Alt+F4 to close a window, Ctrl+Alt+Mouse1 to rotate the cube etc. The problem remains even if these shortcuts are changed from Beryl Manager, and then re-set with the "Alt" key. Make sure your problem is not related to any settings.
Try default beryl settings (i.e. remove ~/.beryl directory).
Do alt-keys work with Metacity?
I will remove the ~/.beryl directory and see what happens, although this was a new installation, and alt-keys did not work, even before I changed the settings.
