Detailsnvidia 455.28-7 causes davinci resolve to crash/hang with a Socket disconnected error and never fully startup. I downgraded back to nvidia 455.28-4 and everything is fine. I do not beleive this is related to the nvidia kernel 5.9 problem because I am ignoring the linux package and am still on 5.8.14-arch1-1.

Additional comments about closing: kernel module packages are built for a specific kernel. There's no way you're actually using 455.28-7 on the 5.8 kernel
