DetailsAs of the release of Gnome 3.38 alacritty crashes. This is due to some issue with one of their dependencies being outdated, glutin. Upstream is aware of this and has fixed the issue in: https://github.com/alacritty/alacritty/issues/4206 and https://github.com/alacritty/alacritty/issues/4275, but has yet to tag a new version.
Until upstream tags a new version, alacritty will be broken for many folks using the Wayland session of Gnome, and probably other DEs too. Would it be possible to pull in the dependency update separately until upstream releases a new version? I've already requests upstream tag a new version. |
