Description:
I'm experiencing random freezes when working in Inkscape. When selecting objects, the interface would freeze even when I'm just editing a very simple shape or something. And this doesn't just happen with a specific file. It would take a while for Inkscape to unfreeze by itself, but I can also unfreeze it if I hover over the Dash to Dock which is configured to unhide itself with mouse hovering. I've never had this problem before. It probably all started since October? And I should mention that I updated Gnome from 3.36 to 3.38 since October. But I'm not having issues with other programs in Gnome 3.38. I've reported this to upstream. Link below. Additional info: * package version(s): 1.0.1-2 * config and/or log files etc. * link to upstream bug report: https://gitlab.com/inkscape/inbox/-/issues/3812 Steps to reproduce: 1. open inkscape 2. File -> open recent -> test_file.svg (attached) 3. Disable snapping For me it would freeze inkscape every single time. |
