Description:
telegram-desktop exits/crashes on autostart for me. Running telegram-desktop -autostart manually makes it start up successfully, even though it is the same as in the autostart desktop file.
Downgrading to 2.4.2-1 fixes this issue, but you'll have to log in to your account again and your settings will be lost.
I'm using KDE Plasma 5.19.5.

Additional info:
* package version(s) 2.4.3-1

Steps to reproduce:
1. Upgrade telegram-desktop to 2.4.3-1
2. Enable autostart
3. Relog

Could be a result of this change [1] , which is attempting to fix another issue with autostart on kde [2] , and as discussed in the issue, the fundamental issue may be on kde side [3].

Anyhow, can you get a backtrace of the crash, maybe from coredumpctl? That will help with reproducing and debugging the problem.

Unfortunately there is no coredump available, because telegram doesn't crash. It just exits with 0. I tried redirecting its stdout and stderr, but the output is the same as with the previous version 2.4.2-1, where it works. I also checked ~/.local/share/TelegramDesktop/log.txt, nothing helpful there as well. So I changed the telegram-desktop autostart .desktop file to run telegram with strace and redirected the output to a file, which is available here: https://gist.github.com/jkhsjdhjs/58f44ba26616ec2ab90099772e6d26d2

If there's anything else I can do to debug this, please let me know.

This has been working for me again since version 2.4.4. The issue can be closed.
