Couchdb fails to build from source as it is incompatible with Erlang/OTP 23. This also prevents the package from being updated to the latest version 3.1.1. Changing the version requirements is not enough as noted in the upstream bug report [2]. My question about 68 still remains. Did you try even newer versions?
And 78 indeed does not work.
