Description:
As suggested by @foxboron, I would like to request that the Go language server binary (gopls) be moved from the go-tools package to a separate/dedicated package. While the go tools repo itself is tagged with each go release as a form of versioning, gopls has it's own release process and versioning as can be seen on the go tools GitHub release page (https://github.com/golang/tools/releases). There is already a package in the AUR for gopls, but it conflicts with go-tools (due to inclusion of gopls). Appreciate your consideration of this issue. |
