Details

Description:
$ pyls
(...other backtrace lines omitted...)
pkg_resources.ContextualVersionConflict: (ujson 0.0.0 (/usr/lib/python3.8/site-packages), Requirement.parse('ujson>=3.0.0'), {'python-jsonrpc-server'})

Additional info:

python-ujson 3.2.0-1
python-jsonrpc-server 0.4.0-1
python-language-server 0.34.1-2

ujson has been broken for some time. It was not user-visible as python-jsonrpc-server does not require new ujson until 0.4.0 [1]

A possible fix is using $SETUPTOOLS_SCM_PRETEND_VERSION like several other Arch packages [2]. Here is a working patch for PKGBUILD: https://fars.ee/ViqX

[2] https://pkgbuild.vdwaa.nl/?q=SETUPTOOLS_SCM_PRETEND_VERSION&i=nope&files=&repos=

Steps to reproduce:
Upgrade the system and run `pyls`
