DetailsDescription:
Starting in code 1.49.x, VS code was upgraded to electron9 (currently the system version). However, the package still has a dependency on electron7. I confirmed that removing electron7 and editing /usr/bin/electron to use 'electron' (currently 9.2.1). code starts w/o an issue. I guess in the nature of avoiding breakages on electron 10's release, the dependency should probably be moved to electron9 instead of electron (although I won't complain either way). Additional info: * package version(s)code 1.49.0 * config and/or log files etc. * link to upstream bug report, if any Electron9 mentioned in: https://code.visualstudio.com/updates/v1_49 Steps to reproduce: cat /usr/bin/code -> electron7 reference sudo pacman -Rns electron7 -- code depends on it. |
