kdeinit5 repeatedly crashes on a fresh Arch Linux install. Nvidia drivers are installed (RTX 2070S).

Rebuilding the packages (from asp) to add debug symbols allowed me to analyze the backtrace, which shows something related to baloo (the file indexer).

Crash log attached to the bug report.

it's lmbd crashing, probably due to a corrupted baloo DB.

Interesting. I wonder how the DB got corrupted ?

After re-enabling baloo, purging, then disabling it again, the problem has stopped.
I think the only thing needed here would be better error handling from baloo or kdeinit in case such an event appears.

I am on Intel graphics and everytime I take a screenshot with spectacle I get this crash dialog.
I simply restart it, as suggested by the dialog.
It's not a showstopper, but rather a real annoyance.

And I cannot report anything more than this.

@Uqbar this has nothing to do with this issue. Report It upstream attaching a backtrace

Is that normal that I cannot report the bug directly from the dialog?
Comment by Antonio Rojas (arojas) - Friday, 02 April 2021, 10:26 GMT
Yes, see the message in the dialog
