DetailsDescription:
Upgrading kernel causes blank screen after boot. Changing tty is not possible. This issue still exists in version 5.8.5, latest working seems to be 5.5.8. This happens only on my desktop PC, on my laptop I have no issues. Additional info: Package version -linux-5.5.13 -> Steps to reproduce: -Upgrade kernel to 5.5.13 or later -Reboot Journalctl from failed boot (running 5.8.5) in the attachments. Reverting back to linux-5.5.8 fixes the issue. |

Looks like a problem with the nvidia kernel module. What do you have installed?

Based on your other ticket, I'm going to assume you're still using nvidia-390xx, which is unsupported here. See the forums, IRC, or mailing lists if you can't figure it out.
