DetailsIt seems that the new PKGBUILD style in qt-3.3.8-2 is causing problems, I'm unable to run any qt or kde app.
Reverting to qt-3.3.8-1 solves the problem. Otherwise I alway get a segmentaion fault: [12:33][tom@mouse256:~]$ gdb kopete GNU gdb 6.6 Copyright (C) 2006 Free Software Foundation, Inc. I've got that problem too. In my case k3b, scribus and every application from kdebase dumps core. I've atteched a list of all packages installed on my system, maybe this might help to locate the problem.
The problem was back yesterday, but this time downgrading qt didn't solve it, so it seems something else is actually causing the problem.
This time I solved it by changing my locale from en_BE to en_US, as it seems the problem is somewhere related to glibc
