In order to gain additional functionality, I always first consider the list of optional dependencies, so I see what I'm still missing and probably want to have.

I just made a table in writer and really needed automatic hyphenation, which didn't work out of the box. The above steps didn't work for me, because I couldn't find an optional dependency leading me to the required package.

So my proposal is to add all packages which, when installed, give additional functionality. I'm not sure if hyphen-$LANG is the only package that would be added then, but at least this one should really be added.

hyphen-$LANG won't work for _most_ of the language packages. We only offer very few hyphen packages from our repos. Some more are available from AUR. The same would be true for myhtes-$LANG and hunspell-$LANG.

Also it's all well covered already over there where we expect users to read: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/LibreOffice#Language_aids
