Hi,

It seems like the package doesn't include the desktop file: https://github.com/jarun/nnn/blob/master/misc/desktop/nnn.desktop
Is it possible to include it?

Thanks,
Nghia

Hi, I'm not sure it is usable out of the box, I think you will anyway need to edit Exec property to launch it via your own terminal, e.g. replace Exec="nnn" to Exec="kitty nnn", otherwise it won't start? Or am I missing something here?

Hi, I put the desktop file into `~/.local/share/applications` and I can start `nnn` with `rofi`. But now you mention it, it looks like `rofi` could start `nnn` because it has `rofi-sensible-terminal` to choose the right terminal (`alacritty` in my case). I just tried open a folder with `udiskie` and it didn't work because it couldn't find `xterm`, then it opened the folder in `firefox` instead.

Is there a way to change `xterm` to another terminal without modify the desktop file?

Maybe you can package the desktop file to `/usr/share/applications/`, and if users want to edit it, they can copy it to `~/.local/share/applications/` as mentioned in https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/desktop_entries#Modify_environment_variables

It seems there is no standard way to specify which terminal you want to use, apart from editing .desktop file itself.

OK, since some launchers do attempt to "solve" this issue (via sensible-terminal), lets have it in.
