it would be nice to use the arch=() flags from PKGBUILD to search for i686/x86_64/all aur packages.
x86_64 users doesn't need to see i686-only packages (like google-earth and wine-cvs).
This task depends upon

Reason for closing:  Won't implement
Additional comments about closing:  Seems relatively little benefit to this, if you view this ticket in light of what the AUR is meant to provide.

Also, it would be nice to see the arch type in the package description, just like we see the "license", "author", "submission date"...etc.

Before this is implemented the AUR also needs some concept of architectures. At the moment I believe all it does is check that the arch variable exists but nothing after that.

If this is implemented, try to allow non-canon arches. (ppc for example)

But you can run nearly every 32bit Stuff with installing the lib32-* packages so x86_64 really want to see the arch=(i686) packaged

I mean, i personly edit every i686 only PKGBUILD and change it into x86_64. Install it normally and install missing lib32-* packages and all works. So i would think when this funktion will be added, the standart should be all and not the Arch type of the user

PKGBUILDs themselves aren't really arch specific, and the aur distributes PKGBUILDs, not binaries.
I would assume that people look at the PKGBUILD files before attempting to build them anyway.

This seems like work for no benefit.
